Hello and thank you for visiting my website.
I have been asked on many occasions why would you be a funeral celebrant?
I must admit following career in corporate sales and running my own businesses and always on my feet presenting and talking at events for the best part of my working life, I really did not plan to be a celebrant.
After the passing of my parents I wrote a eulogy for each of them, then more recently I was asked to write a eulogy for many friends, this meant I spoke at approximately fifteen funerals in five years.
It was in 2021 I was complimented on a eulogy for a friend, and it was suggested by another long-term friend who is still a celebrant today that I should consider becoming a celebrant. Following being diagnosed with prostate cancer, having the operation and then gaining a full recovery it was then I decided to pursue my calling and receive the correct training.
I guess I was chosen and did not choose to be a celebrant, it’s an honour and a complete privilege to be asked to present a eulogy and be the voice of the family as they celebrate the life of a loved one.
I have conducted funeral ceremonies in many places including Places of Worship, Crematoriums, at sea and even on a beach. My number one priority is that I make the ceremony all about the person that has passed and of course the family. It’s never about me it’s always about you.
I can also provide themed services and I am happy to discuss this at any time. I am ex Merchant Navy I also have full knowledge specialist organisations and can tailor a service to suit.
I am fully trained, and I am a very proud member of The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants where I have received and graduated in 2023.
